Giorgos Panagiotakos is a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Edinburgh. He received his diploma in electrical and computer engineering from the Technical University of Athens. His primary research areas are cryptography and distributed algorithms, with a special focus on proof-of-work based blockchain protocols and the byzantine agreement problem. He has been involved in several startups in the past and is interested in applying the provable security methodology to real-world problems.
