George Totev

George Totev is an innovative cyber-risk leader with more than 20 years of experience in creating and managing infosec teams and focusing on all aspects of customers’ trust. Most recently, he established the Risk and Compliance function at Atlassian, a $6bn Australian software company. Before Atlassian he established and managed the infosec GRC group at Visa. He was also trusted advisor on new products, initiatives, acquisitions, etc. His team monitored and reported on cyber-risks to executive committees and regulators. Before joining Visa, he led the application risk group at Goldman Sachs and managed infosec at Sybase. Totev’s career includes Symantec, World Bank and consulting various companies on security matters. He is Board Member of the Bay Area CSO Council and several technology advisory boards.
