Gary Wolf founded the Quantified Self in 2007 as an advanced users group for self-trackers and makers of self-tracking tools. The Quantified Self movement has grown from a small Bay Area meetup to a global collaboration spanning more than 80 cities in 15 countries. An accomplished journalist, Wolf is a contributing editor at Wired magazine and the winner of the Kavli Science Journalism Award. His New York Times Magazine cover article about the Quantified Self remains the definitive description of the movement, which has been extensively covered in major publications like Vanity Fair, The Economist, Financial Times Magazine, and many others around the world. Wolf’s 2010 TED talk on the Quantified Self has been watched nearly 350,000 times.
