Cybersecurity Strategist, Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
Emile Monette currently serves as Cybersecurity Strategist in the DHS Office of Cybersecurity and Communications. Monette has unique experience with cybersecurity and procurement in the executive and legislative branches of the Federal Government, including service as Senior Advisor in the Executive Office of the President, Professional Staff Member with the House of Representatives Oversight Committee, and as an active duty Air Force Officer. Prior to joining DHS, he was Director of Government-wide Cyber Security, Resilience and Risk at the General Services Administration, where he led development of a government-wide strategy to improve cybersecurity in federal procurement. He is a graduate of the George Washington University Law School and a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
