Emery Csulak

Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)/Deputy CIO for Cybersecurity, Department of Energy

Emery Csulak is the CISO and Deputy Chief Information Officer for Cybersecurity at the Department of Energy (DOE). Previously, Csulak served as the CISO and Senior Official for Privacy for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Deputy/Acting CISO for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). He co-chaired the Health Care Industry Cybersecurity Task Force in 2017 to analyze the challenges the health care sector faces when securing and protecting itself against cybersecurity incidents. While at DHS, he was a founding member of the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) for cloud computing adoption and security authorization within the federal government.
