Edward Block is an attorney and experienced information security professional focused on how emerging law affects privacy and security. Block has built secure networks for government agencies and Fortune 50 companies, performed penetration tests, and managed technical teams performing all aspects of information security. He is experienced developing information security policies and guidelines, that balance protection of information assets with legal and functional requirements for both public and private sector enterprises. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, admitted to the U.S. District Court, Western District of Texas, and Chairs the Austin Bar Association’s Technology Law Section. He also holds many technical security certifications.
