Senior Fellow, National Security Agency
Josiah Dykstra is a Senior Fellow and member of the Senior Executive Service in the Office of Innovation at the National Security Agency (NSA). He holds a PhD in computer science where his dissertation focused on cloud forensics. He previously served at NSA as a cyber operator and researcher. Josiah is interested in cybersecurity science, especially where humans intersect with technology. In 2017, he received the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE) from former President Barack Obama. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, a Distinguished Member of the Association for Computing Machinery, and is the author of numerous research papers and two books, including co-author of Cybersecurity Myths and Misconceptions.
