Rébecca Kleinberger is a Voice Researcher at MIT and Disruptive Research Strategist at HARMAN Int. She has developed a unique expertise in the study and understanding of the human voice beyond words. Her multidisciplinary work spans from assistive technology to vocal experiences design, interspecies communication, neurocomputational voice models, and inner-voice experiences. In her work, she investigates our complex relationship with human, non-human and AI voices and the potential of using the voice to access the mind. Her research reveals the risks and potential of voice technologies. Kleinberger’s strong scientific and technical background paired with humanistic concerns drive her to envision a more human future of voice technology. She received her Ph.D. from the MIT Media Lab.
