Principal Cyber Advisor to the Secretary of the Army, United States Army
Michael Sulmeyer is the Principal Cyber Advisor to the Secretary of the United States Army. Previously he served as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Cyber Policy at the National Security Council. Michael was also the Senior Advisor to the Commander, US Cyber Command. In academia, he was the Director of the Cybersecurity Project at the Harvard Kennedy School's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. He also taught at the University of Texas at Austin School of Law and was a Senior Fellow at Georgetown University's Center for Security and Emerging Technology. He received his PhD/DPhil from Oxford University as a Marshall Scholar, his JD from Stanford Law School, his MA in War Studies from King's College London, and his BA from Stanford University.
