Dr. Avinash Vem

Avinash Vem is currently at NVIDIA working as Applied Research Scientist-Data Science and Deep Learning. Prior to that he obtained his PhD in 2011 from the department of electrical and computer engineering, Texas A&M University. His PhD thesis is titled "Applications of Coding Theory to Massive Multiple Access and Big Data Problems". In 2010, he received his bachelor of technology from the department of electrical engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Madras. During the summer of 2015 he completed a summer internship at Intel, Santa Clara in the wireless team where he developed an internal ultrasound communication scheme via laptops using OFDM methods. From 2010-11 he worked as an Associate Engineer at Caterpillar India.
