As principle security strategist for Trustworthy Computing at Microsoft Corp., Douglas Cavit bolsters the company’s ongoing efforts to provide more secure, private and reliable computing experiences for its customers. Specifically, Cavit is charged with driving forward Microsoft’s Secure Development Lifecycle process as a methodology to improve development and implementation of technology in critical infrastructures working with employees, partners, customers, and governments. Prior to joining Microsoft, he spent four years as vice president and chief information officer at McAfee.com. He also has served as director of IT for Network Associates-McAfee Inc., director of IT for Trinzic Corp. and director of Technical Services for Halliburton.
