Dmitry Samosseiko

Dmitry Samosseiko is the Director of Threat Research at Sophos. He is responsible for the global team of threat researchers at SophosLabs and is driving strategy and innovation in anti-malware, web and email security areas. Earlier in his career, Dmitry was a software developer at ActiveState Inc., where he played a key role in creating its email security solutions. The product’s success led to company’s acquisition by Sophos in 2003. At that time, Dmitry led the SophosLabs team in Canada, being responsible for threat research and developing systems for analysis automation. Samosseiko has 14 years of experience in IT security, has given multiple talks at conferences, published research papers and has been quoted in the media on the topics of cybercrime and security.
