Deven McGraw is the Director of the Health Privacy Project at CDT, which is focused on developing and promoting workable privacy and security protections for electronic personal health information. McGraw was one of three persons appointed by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services to serve on the Health IT Policy Committee, chairs its Privacy and Security Workgroup and serves as a member of its Meaningful Use and Information Exchange Workgroups. She is active in efforts to advance the adoption and implementation of health IT and electronic health information exchange to improve health care. She also serves on the Leadership Council of the eHealth Initiative and on the Markle Foundation's Steering Group on Connecting for Health multi-stakeholder initiative.
