Denise E. Zheng is a Senior Fellow and Deputy Director of the Strategic Technologies Program at CSIS, where her work is focused on cyber and emerging technology policy issues. Previously, she served as Chief of Staff for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) cyberwarfare program, Plan X, and as Director for Global Government Relations and Cybersecurity Policy at CA Technologies. She was a member of the Information Technology (IT) Sector Coordinating Council, IT Information Sharing and Analysis Center, and SAFECode. Zheng also served on staff for the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee and was a Principal in drafting and negotiations for the Cybersecurity Act of 2012. She writes on a variety of timely topics, ranging from cybersecurity issues to US-China relations.
