David Maimon is the Director of the Evidence-Based Cybersecurity Research Group. He also holds an Associate Professor appointment in the Computer Science and the Computer Information System departments at Georgia State University. Maimon's research interests include cyber-enabled and cyber-dependent crimes and experimental research methods. In 2015, he was awarded the Young Scholar Award from the White-Collar Crime Research Consortium. His research focuses on computer hacking and the progression of online criminal events, computer networks vulnerabilities to cyber-attacks and decision-making process in cyber-space. He is also conducting research on intellectual property and cyber-fraud. His research is supported by funding agencies and industry partners in the US and abroad.
