Dave Isay, the recipient of four Peabody Awards and a MacArthur “Genius” Fellowship, is a respected broadcaster, author, documentarian and founder of StoryCorps. Aired on NPR’s Morning Edition and distinguished with the Peabody and Columbia DuPont Awards for its coverage of the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and the MacArthur Award for Creative and Effective Institutions, StoryCorps is the vehicle by which Isay celebrates and explores the lives of everyday people from coast to coast.
