David Gustafson

David Gustafson, the Chief Information Security Officer (CIO) for the State of Nevada, is a member of the Governor's cabinet and provides advice to the Governor on technology issues. He is responsible for the methodology, guidance, standards, policies, planning, organization, and oversight of information technology for all of the executive branch agencies of Nevada State government. Significant accomplishments for the CIO’s Division include: ◾Department of Education Child Nutrition Division meals plan – develop application, database and reports ◾Department-wide server consolidation ◾North to south Internet back-up ◾The Nevada State IT Security Committee was created to address intergovernmental collaboration on cyber security
