Daniel Blackford

As Head of Threat Research and Intelligence, Daniel Blackford leads Proofpoint’s program responsible for attribution and tracking of threat actor groups. Whether the focus is large scale botnets, credential phishing, business email compromise, or nation-state supported espionage, researchers on Dan’s teams are digging through seas of data every day to identify malicious activity and combat it in real-time. Prior to his time at Proofpoint, Daniel worked as a Malware Analyst at the NCFTA and got his start tracking adversaries with the US Army.
