Dan Klinedinst is a senior Member of the Technical Staff at Carnegie Mellon University's CERT program. Klinedinst’s work includes performing different types of cybersecurity analysis, such as red team engagements, operational threat assessments, counterintelligence and controls validation. His primary area of research is the fusion of intelligence tradecraft with technical and semantic cybersecurity data. He is the author of the Gibson3D visualization tool, an organizer of the BSides Pittsburgh conference, a frequent speaker at security events and a former security engineer at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
