Dan Watson, CISSP started keeping bees in 1978 at about the same time he got an interest in electronics. Both areas became points of passion for Dan who went on to work for NCR, Microsoft and Dell doing hardware, firmware and operating systems development. Dan later returned to keeping bees as an adult and is the owner of Dan of York Apiaries. He is the past president of the largest beekeeping group in South Carolina. He focuses on honeybee venom production as well as the more traditional products such as honey and wax. As a cyber security for almost 20 years he is a founding member of the ISC2 Charlotte, NC chapter and prior presenter at the ISC2 Congress. He currently works as the Senior Managing Consultant in the Infrastructure and Endpoint Security Group at IBM.
