Clifford Cocks

Clifford Cocks is the former Chief Mathematician at Government Communications Headquarters in the UK. Whilst there he discovered ways to implement both public key encryption, and later identity based encryption in both cases ahead of these results in academia. He was made Companion of the Order of the Bath in 2008 and Fellow of the Royal Society in 2015.
