Ciaran Martin

CEO, National Cyber Security Centre

Ciaran Martin moved into his role as CEO of the NCSC in March 2016 from his position as GCHQ's Director General for Cyber Security. As CEO NCSC, Ciaran leads the new public-facing London centre whose purpose is to bring together the UK’s cyber expertise to make the UK the safest place to live and do business online. Prior to his role at GCHQ, Ciaran spent eight years in the Cabinet Office as Constitution Director, Director of Security and Intelligence and Principal Private Secretary to the Cabinet Secretary. Ciaran graduated from Hertford College, Oxford in 1996 with a first in history.
