Christopher Butera

Christopher Butera is the Deputy Director for the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC). He oversees Cyber Threat Detection and Analysis, a division of technical, cyberthreat and risk analysis experts who perform operational and strategic-level analysis to support network defense and resilience across the DHS stakeholder community. His teams focus on developing a technical understanding of cyber-vulnerabilities and adversary threats, building a common operational picture of the cyberthreat landscape, and sharing actionable analysis based on unique security insights. Butera is also responsible for the National Cybersecurity Training and Exercise Center of Excellence.
