Chris Novak is the Managing Director of Verizon Cybersecurity Consulting. He has more than 20 years of cybersecurity industry experience ranging from field work to Fortune 100 C-suite and board advisory roles. In 2022, he was appointed to President Biden’s Cyber Safety Review Board and named a Top Cybersecurity Leader by Security Magazine. He has been a contributing author to the Verizon DBIR since 2008 as well as being featured in TV, radio, and print media. He is also a member of the Forbes Technology Council, where he frequently writes on the topic of cybersecurity. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in computer engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a CISO Certificate from Carnegie Mellon, and maintains active CISSP, CISA, PCI QSA & PFI, and other certifications.
