Cecilia Testart is an Assistant Professor at Georgia Tech. Her research lies at the intersection of Internet measurements, network security, and policy. By designing methods to characterize how system operators use Internet protocols, her work brings new understanding on operators’ behaviors, how they differ from inappropriate behaviors, whether malicious or unintentional, and how protocol design, practices and incentives impact those behaviors. Her work received a Distinguished Paper Award at the ACM Internet Measurement Conference (2019), and she was selected an EECS Rising Star (2020). Cecilia completed her PhD at MIT advised by David Clark, holds SMs in Technology and Policy and in CS from MIT, an MEng from Ecole Centrale Paris and a BS in Engineering from Universidad de Chile.
