Beth George

Beth George is a partner in the Silicon Valley office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where her practice focuses on the representation of companies preparing for and facing major crises. In 2021, Beth served as the Acting General Counsel for the US Department of Defense during the beginning of the Biden-Harris administration. Beth regularly advises boards of both private and public companies on risk management and governance. Her practice has included representing a large company facing high-profile congressional investigations and litigation regarding its data security practices, investigating alleged nation state insider threats at a leading tech company, and advising a public company in a high-profile breach, which resulted in a federal investigation and criminal charges.
