Anand Prasad

Anand R. Prasad, Fellow IETE and IET, Chief Security Architect of Rakuten Mobile Networks, Japan, where he is responsible for Rakuten network security. Prior to Rakuten, Prasad was Chief Advanced Technologist, NEC Corporation, where he led mobile communications security and standardization. He is Chairman of 3GPP SA3 (mobile communications security including 5G). He has filed over 50 patents, published over 50 papers and co-authored six books. He is recipient of the 2012 (ISC)² Asia Pacific Information Security Leadership Achievements Award as a Senior Information Security Professional. Prior to NEC, Prasad worked at NTT DOCOMO Euro-Labs as a Manager of network security team. He earned his Ph.D. and MscEngg degrees from Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands, and he is CISSP certified.
