Amir Becker is the Cyber Attaché at the Embassy of Israel in Washington D.C. In this capacity, he represents the Israeli National Cyber Directorate (INCD), Prime Minister’s Office. Becker leads the bilateral engagements between Israel and the US in the cyber-realm. He is responsible for policy collaborations as well as promoting the Israeli Cyber eco-system within the US and the growing cooperation between the countries and between private sector companies in both countries. Prior to this, he served for 18 years in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), most recently as a Lieutenant Colonel in Unit 8200, the top elite technological unit. In 2010, he was awarded the prestigious Israel Defense Prize, a prize presented annually by the President of Israel in recognition of exceptional technological breakthroughs.
