Adam Cohen

Adam Cohen is Senior Director & Associate General Counsel for cybersecurity at Capital One, where he leads the cyber legal team and its support of cyber operations and intelligence, incident response, and insider threat programs, as well as risk management and governance. Prior to Capital One, Adam spent ten years in the FBI, and spearheaded strategic planning efforts to create the Department of Defense’s Civil Liberties Office. While with the FBI, he served as legal counsel for a number of complex cybercriminal and national security investigations, held the role of Privacy Officer for the Terrorist Screening Center, chaired a legal working group on computer network operations, and regularly advised senior executives at the FBI and White House on efforts to counter violent extremism.
