Ted Schlein is a leading investor in cybersecurity. His career in venture capital spans 30 years, including at Kleiner Perkins, where he’s led many successful investments (AlienVault, ArcSight, CarbonBlack, Chegg, LifeLock, Mandiant, Phantom Security, and Shape Security). Ted is Chairman and General Partner of the cybersecurity VC firm Ballistic Ventures. Previously, he was the founding CEO of Fortify Software and was VP of Enterprise Solutions at Symantec, where he launched its commercial antivirus solution. His work as a Member of the Board of Trustees at the National Security Agency and at InQTel, highlight his strategic vision in both business and policy decisions. He also serves on the Board of Trustees at the University of Pennsylvania, his alma mater.
