Robert Rodriguez was elected to serve Colorado Senate District 32 in 2018, representing southwest Denver where he has lived for more than 20 years. He currently serves as Chair of the Business, Labor and Technology Committee and as a member of the Judiciary Committee, the Legal Services Committee, and the Legislative Audit Committee. Senator Rodriguez moved to Colorado when he was four years old. He was raised in a politically active, working class family and grew up attending Colorado public schools. Senator Rodriguez was director of business management at Independence House, an organization founded by his father to help former criminal offenders re-enter society. He lives in Virginia Village with his wife Deidre and their two dogs and two cats.
