CEO, Cybersecurity Canon Project
Rick Howard is the CEO of the Cybersecurity Canon Project (a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for cybersecurity books). His past Jobs: CSO and podcast Host at The Cyberwire (podcasting network), CSO for Palo Alto Networks (security vendor), CISO for TASC (government contractor), GM for iDefense (cyberthreat intelligence service at Verisign), SOC Director for Counterpane (MSSP), and Commander for the Army’s CERT (CISO). He was one of the Founders of the Cyber Threat Alliance (a security vendor ISAC) and is a Co-Gounder of the Cybersecurity Canon Project. Rick holds a Master of Computer Science degree from the Naval Postgraduate School and an Engineering degree from the Military Academy where he taught computer science for six years. He has published one book and executive edited two others
