Petros Efstathopoulos is VP of Research at RSAC. He has been working on computer security, privacy and systems architecture for more than 20 years. He got his PhD in Computer Science at UCLA, specializing in secure and private operating systems. Petros has conducted original research in the areas of security, operating systems, networks, cloud, mobile and IoT systems. He is serving as a program committee member for multiple conferences, provides media commentary on security and privacy issues, and has been invited as a guest speaker at conferences and events. In the past, he worked at Intel Research and led a team of researchers at Symantec/NortonLifeLock/Gen for many years as the VP of Innovation. He has published more than 20 papers at top-tier academic venues and holds 48 US Patents.
