Nazar Tymoshyk

Nazar Tymoshyk is the Chief Technical Officer of CERT-UA, the National CERT of Ukraine. Previously, he founded a successful startup - UnderDefense, where he built a new generation MDR/SOC as a service platform to automate incident response. This platform empowered security teams to isolate threats right from their preferred communication tools, such as Slack and Teams. His award-winning CSIRT team consistently ranked among the Top Ten in the Boss of the SOC competition for five years. Nazar holds a PhD from Lviv Polytechnic with a thesis about hypervisor based syscalls interception to track adversaries and malware in highly interactive honeypots. He has worked as an associate professor, teaching Network and Web Security, and served as a lecturer at Lviv IT School.
