Michael McLaughlin is a practicing attorney and chairs Buchanan’s cybersecurity practice group. He advises clients on cybersecurity, data privacy, technology, and compliance. A Navy veteran, he served over 15 years as an intelligence officer, and has extensive experience in cyber operations, incident response, remediation, and governance. His postings include Senior Counterintelligence Advisor for US Cyber Command and Chief of Counterintelligence and Human Intelligence for the Cyber National Mission Force, where he oversaw operations, investigations, and law enforcement support for US military cyberspace efforts. He co-authored “Battlefield Cyber” and is CEO of VeridatAI, a data marketplace connecting data owners with AI/ML developers.
