Maxim Deweerdt is a Security Architect and Principal SANS Instructor with deep expertise in building and advising Security Operations Centers. He specializes in identity security across Microsoft and hybrid cloud, and at NVISO he supports the Managed Cyber Defense Services team on detection and response. Maxim teaches SANS courses worldwide, sharing lessons from more than a decade of advising governments and enterprises across EMEA. His field experience spans threat hunting, incident response, and SOC operations. He regularly teaches and writes on Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, and on-prem Active Directory.
