In his 20 years in the profession, Mauro has analyzed cybersecurity issues from different angles, from fighting cybercrime at the Swiss Federal Police, to establishing and managing the Cyber Threat Intelligence Division at the Swiss Department of Defense, to the cybersecurity at the National Cyber Security Centre NCSC.ch. He joined the International Committee of the Red Cross ICRC in 2021 and he is now focusing on aspects such as the militarization of the digital domain, cyber cognitive warfare, the role of digital capabilities in the total defense approach, assessing risks and impacts on civilians, critical civilian infrastructure and the society as a whole.
