Mathias Buecherl

Mathias serves as SVP & Chief Audit Executive of Heidelberg Materials, directing Global Internal Audit with a focus on strategic priorities, risk management, and strategy execution at a Fortune 500 company. He is a standing member and executive sponsor of the Information Security Committee. Previously, he was VP & Group CISO of Heidelberg Materials and held Cyber Security leadership roles at Deutsche Telekom and Axians in Germany, Switzerland, Singapore, Mexico and the Czech Republic. He played a leading role in building Cyber Security businesses, portfolios and operations across EMEA, APAC and the Americas, including P&L accountability for business units. He also lectures at universities on Audit, Security and Resilience and serves as a strategic advisor and director on multiple boards.
