Jake Wood

Jake Wood is Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Team Rubicon, a veteran-led disaster response organization serving communities before, during and after disasters and humanitarian crises. Under Wood’s leadership, Team Rubicon has launched almost 1,000 operations globally since the 2010 Haiti earthquake and grown to 150,000 members. He is a leading veterans’ advocate who has briefed several Presidents on veterans’ issues and disaster response, has testified before the Senate, and speaks frequently in the media. Last fall, Wood released his memoir, Once a Warrior, a story of being a Marine and finding healing and purpose after returning from combat. Wood recently launched Groundswell, a Philanthropy-as-a-Service platform that empowers employees with their own personal donor-advised fund.
