H.E. Nathalie Jaarsma

Nathalie Jaarsma is the Netherlands Ambassador at-Large for Security Policy and Cyber since 2020. Prior to this position, she served as Ambassador to Cyprus (2016-2020) and headed the Security and Defence Policy Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2012 to 2016. She was a Political Counsellor at the Netherlands Embassy in Washington DC (2008-2012) and was posted to the Embassy in Canberra (2004-2008). Before entering the foreign service in 2001, Nathalie had a career in organizational change management. In those years, she worked in Thailand and in the Netherlands mainly in IT, telecoms, and the chemical industry. Nathalie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Nijenrode University and a Master’s degree in Business from Twente University.
