Cryptography & Security Principal Engineer, IDEMIA
Guillaume Barbu is a principal engineer at IDEMIA, where he is involved in the development and security evaluation of IDEMIA’s products. His main areas of expertise are fault attacks and side-channel attacks on embedded systems and the security of Java Cards. His research interests also include the security of mobile devices and applications. Before joining the Cryptography and Security Lab of Oberthur Technologies (now IDEMIA) in 2011, he worked as a Security Engineer in the Virtual Machine group of Oberthur Technologies. He received a MSc in cryptology from Université de Limoges in 2008 and a PhD from Télécom Paris – Institut Mines-Télécom in 2012, studying the security of Java Card platforms against software and fault attacks.
