As a partner in the data, privacy, and cybersecurity practice at Ropes and Gray, LLP, Fran Faircloth represents clients handling complex data, privacy, and cybersecurity matters across a wide range of industries and sectors. Recently, Fran has been advising clients on issues of data protection, opportunistic cyber attacks, and contact tracing technologies in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak. Fran also represents the former CEO of SolarWinds following a major cyberattack by a group backed by a foreign government that penetrated thousands of organizations globally including multiple parts of the US government. In 2020, Fran represented online retailer Bombas in class action litigation and investigations related to a data breach on the company’s online checkout portal.
