Boaz Gelbord

Boaz Gelbord is SVP and Chief Security Officer at Akamai, where he leads the global Information Security organization. He is responsible for leading cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and protecting Akamai’s systems, data, employees, and the world’s leading intelligent edge platform across more than 4,000 locations in 135 countries. Boaz joined Akamai in 2021 and brings over 15 years of global experience building and leading security teams including as CISO of Bloomberg and Dun and Bradstreet. He holds a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Calgary, an MSc from the University of Toronto, and a PhD in Mathematics from the Technion in Israel. Boaz has authored multiple security-related patents and speaks English, Hebrew, Dutch, French, and Spanish.
