Dr. Amelia Estwick

Dr. Amelia Estwick is the Director of Threat Research at VMware. She is responsible for leading a global multidisciplinary team that forms the core of VMware’s research arm focused on large scale malware and telemetry analysis, malware reversal, threat hunting, and applied threat intelligence. She brings more than 20 years of technology, security, and leadership experience within the intelligence community previously supporting and leading cyber threat operations at the NSA. She also serves in academia, and was recently recognized as one of the Top 100 Women Know Cyber by Cybersecurity Ventures. Dr. Estwick earned her BS in computer information systems from Southern University at New Orleans and her MS and PhD in computer science from the George Washington University in Washington, DC.
