Dr. Colin Soutar is a Managing Director in Deloitte’s Risk and Financial Advisory practice, and the is the US and global lead for Quantum Cyber Readiness. He has over two decades of cyber experience, spanning from biometrics, digital identity, and most recently, quantum technologies. He began his career with a 2-year post-doctorate fellowship at NASA, developing pattern recognition techniques for autonomous rendezvous and capture operations. Some notable work includes his service as Chief Technology Officer for a Canadian-based biometric and identity management company for almost 10 years, and his contributions to the development of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. Today, he helps organizations develop and execute cybersecurity risk management strategies.
