Andy Ozment is the Chief Technology Risk Officer at Capital One. Previously, he was CISO and a Partner at Goldman Sachs. In government, Andy was the Assistant Secretary for Cybersecurity at the US Department of Homeland Security from 2014-2017. His team of ~700 employees protected 2M government users and helped the private sector protect itself. They responded to dozens of incidents, such as the breaches of OPM and the Ukrainian power grid in 2015. From 2012-2014, Andy led national policy for President Obama at the White House, where he served as deputy cyber czar. He was responsible for the Executive Order that created the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and he oversaw its development. Andy earned a BS in computer science from Georgia Tech, an MS from the LSE, and a PhD from Cambridge.
