Adam Cohen

Adam Cohen is Assistant VP and Associate General Counsel for cybersecurity at AT&T, having joined the company in January 2025 after leading the cyber legal team at Capital One. In these roles, he advises the CISO on cyber operations and intelligence, incident response, and insider threat programs, as well as risk management and governance. Prior to Capital One, Adam spent ten years in the FBI and spearheaded strategic planning efforts to create the Department of Defense’s Civil Liberties Office. While with the FBI, he served as legal counsel for a number of complex cybercriminal and national security investigations, chaired a legal working group on computer network operations, and regularly advised senior executives at the FBI and White House on efforts to counter violent extremism.
