What is a Peer2Peer session?
Peer2Peer sessions are small group interactive sessions with no presentation materials where the submitter acts as a facilitator to encourage and develop conversation amongst all of the session participants around the published topic. Only one facilitator is permitted/session.

How many Peer2Peer sessions are there?
We anticipate approximately 36 Peer2Peer sessions this year.

How are sessions selected?
Our Peer2Peer submissions are reviewed by a volunteer Program Committee, comprised of hard-working security professionals, technology experts, researchers, government employees, attorneys, and scientists.

What are the main reasons sessions don’t get selected?
Peer2Peer sessions are discussions—not presentations. Submissions that talk about presentations or slides come across as not suited to a discussion format….and aren’t selected. Our Program Committee is looking for submissions that reflect a good plan for a rich, engaging discussion that involves everyone in the room. A good facilitator is both an expert on the topic and an expert in knowing how to engage the room.

What resources does RSA Conference offer to facilitators?
We take great pride in a solid educational offering and innovative learning formats for our attendees. We have a professional facilitation coach who will present a training session designed to help our facilitators prepare effectively for this particular session format. Additionally, facilitators can send a short survey out to registrants of their session a few weeks before the session to help them better hone their discussion plan to meet the specific interest areas of their attendees.
