A robust half-day forum, developed with Women’s Society of Cyberjutsu, Executive Women's Forum on Information Security, Risk Management & Privacy (EWF), The Diana Initiative (TDI), Women in Security and Privacy (WISP) and Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS), will offer a mentor-focused opportunity to inspire, prepare and equip women for submitting and presenting to large groups.

Being a dynamic speaker takes preparation, self- awareness, and confidence. Hear real life stories and examples of creating and delivering a dynamic and inspiring presentation. Learn tips and tricks and participate in an interactive exercise to get you started on your own presentation.

From Abstract to Presentation: Diagraming Your Successful Talk
Join us as we explore the science of delivering a successful talk. We will work through the entire process enabling you to walk away with tools and resources for future use. Our speaker brings decades of experience reviewing and delivering presentations. She is also a current track lead for the RSAC 2019 Program Committee and will share some of the wins and misses she has seen first-hand. We will cover proven tactics you can use to deliver your message clearly with an effective presentation of the material and impactful use of visuals. This talk will include a short interactive session that will enable you to apply what you heard by diagramming your own talk.

Panel Discussion – Making it Happen - Network, Speak, Repeat, and Stay Resilient
This panel will feature the afternoon’s “She Speaks Security” speakers, and an experienced moderator who is also a female cybersecurity leader. The panel will reflect on the day’s topics, and discuss the essential elements to operationalizing and staying resilient during the process of becoming a seasoned presenter to large audiences. The group will explore how they utilized their networks, identified opportunities to flex their public speaking muscles, and how they repeated the lessons and skills learned until they became speaking powerhouses, while staying resilient to their pursuit. The session will culminate in a Q&A, and then wrap up the day.
