RSA Conference, the world’s leading information security conferences and expositions, is proud to present the 10 finalists for its annual Innovation Sandbox Contest. The competition is dedicated to encouraging out-of-the-box ideas and the exploration of new technologies that have the potential to transform the information security industry. The 2015 event marked 10 years since the event launched at RSA Conference 2005 as Innovation Station. Past winners include Sourcefire, Imperva, and most recently RedOwl Analytics.

On Monday, April 20, 2015 each of this year’s finalists demonstrated its technology to conference attendees, as well as a judging panel that included Asheem Chandna, partner at Greylock Partners; Gerhard Eschelbeck, vice president of security engineering at Google; Renee Guttman, vice president for information risk at Accuvant; Patrick Heim, head of trust and security at DropBox; and Paul Kocher, president of Cryptography Research. The finalists' presentations to the judges can be found below. This year, Waratek was awarded the “Most Innovative Company at RSA Conference 2015” and for the first time ever ticto was awarded runner-up. This year, the Innovation Sandbox Contest turned 10. To mark this milestone, RSA Conference had leaders from Invincea, Cisco, Netflix and Forrester Research discuss When to Build or Buy Your Technology Solution, and hosted a discussion between a successful Kickstarter campaigner, a program manager from DARPA and a seasoned venture capitalist investor on How to – Get Funded. The closing speaker, global strategist and author Marc Goodman, discussed Future Crimes: Why Cyber Was only the Beginning. Hugh Thompson hosted the day-long activities and announced Waratek as the winner of this year’s Innovation Sandbox Contest.
